Collared Araçari, a toucan relative As I shot this picture I noticed that the bird would open and close his mouth rapidly, but made no sound. Later as I reviewed my pictures, I could see that he was moving some sort of grape-like fruit up from his crop to the tip of his foot-long bill where he would crush the fruit and then swallow it. |
