RodrigoPaz-2203.jpg - Rodrigo Paz and his brother decided to stop expanding their fruit farm into the forest and develop a business in eco-tourism, by preserving habitat for rare species, such as the spectacular Cock of the Rock, which was on the lek deep in the forest. We had to hike down steep muddy trails, before dawn, holding to a rope to reach the viewing place. We only caught brief glimpses of this bird as it wa uncooperative, but we were rewarded by seeing Rodrigo call up other interesting birds from the cloudforest. Here he is calling an ocellated tapaculo.
